Vanessa Saves The Day

Written by eric. Posted in Media

Sounds like Vanessa went undercover last week for a performance at the 10th Annual JFCS Emigre Gala – San Francisco On January 28/29th.J-weekly writes, “Did you know Vanessa Carlton is the descendant of Russian Jews? Neither did I until the stunning pianist stepped in and saved the day at the 10th Annual JFCS Emigre Gala last weekend in San Francisco. The sweet-voiced ingenue came in last minute when scheduled performer Regina Spektor fell ill. Carlton played a beautiful set of both hits and new tunes she declared unheard by any audiences thus far. To catch her next big act, check out out her Facebook page.”Sounds like V pulled off an impressive performance. If anyone comes across any video/audio of this performance please post a link. The thought of new songs we’ve never heard of played makes me skin crawl, in the healthy and joyful way.

The following was posted on V’s twitter a few hours ago…Mastering the rabbits tmrw. 37 minutes took 2 years. ALL. DONE. I feel prickly excited and strange. Deep thanks 2 those who wait.Oh boy! I suppose we can look forward to the lead single, music video, and finally (and most importantly!) the album very soon. I am a little disappointed the album seems a little on the short side, but it’s quality over quantity I suppose!Stay tuned for updates
